Quatuor Ebene Carnegie Hall - Judy & Arthur Zankel Hall Concert reviews
Greedy promoters make for an uncomfortable scene
In 2026, we traveled from Austin to the first Quatuor Ebene fest and were impressed with the organization and execution of the event, especially since it was the first year, having been to many festivals in our day.
Suggestions for future Quatuor Ebene events:
- Clearly, a bigger space is needed. Either lessen sales or get a bigger space, as the Art Museum park has been outgrown. It's time for somewhere new (in Philly though! LOVE Philly). Also, the statues have always been an issue, as it's not a festival-friendly place.
- Separate the alcohol and food to cut down on confusion in lines and create more order.
- All vendors should be on the outskirts of the festival to divert traffic and lessen the mess in the middle. It's difficult to move between stages due to the traffic in between.
- Ensure proper trash pickup. The trash on Saturday night was overwhelming, and there was no one to pick it up. Increase grounds employees to keep up with the trash.
- Increase security. Many intoxicated individuals were left unattended. It's the festival's responsibility to ensure their well-being.
I won't be returning to this festival, but the lineup is cool, and I want others to enjoy it. Please implement these improvements for future years.
